August in Liverpool

  • International Beatleweek (21-27 August): Celebrate Liverpool's most famous sons, The Beatles, during this week-long festival featuring live music, tribute bands, and various events across the city (Liverpool Echo).

  • Liverpool Celebrates (23-26 August): A 4 day festival a 5 min stroll away from Liverpool Water’s at Liverpool’s famous waterfront with bands including The Lightning Seeds, The Jacksons and N-Trance.

  • Creamfields (22-25 August): Just outside Liverpool, this world-renowned electronic dance music festival draws huge crowds with top DJs and live acts (The Guide Liverpool).

September in Liverpool

  • Reminisce Festival (7 September): Held in St Helens, just outside Liverpool, this "old skool" music festival celebrates its 10th anniversary with a fantastic lineup of classic acts and DJs (The Guide Liverpool).

  • The Eliminator (28th September): This is a siwmrun knockout event, with a potential total of 15km (run: 12km; swim 3km). Perfect for all swimrun abilities, all taking place close to Liverpool waters at Princes Dock (www.weswimrun.org)

  • British Musical Fireworks Championship (20-22 September): This competition in nearby Southport showcases stunning firework displays choreographed to music (Liverpool Echo).

October in Liverpool
