The launch of the Park Central
After the success “Quay Central” which is the first phase of development at Central Docks at Peel Liverpool Waters, Romal Capital is to now launch “Park Central”. Park Central will stand next to Quay Central and is a high specification new build development located in a core part of Liverpool Waters’ future cultural and leisure hub, Central Docks. Central Docks will be the primary residential, business, entertainment and leisure district at Liverpool Waters. The neighbourhood will cover almost 18 hectares which will include a 16- acre new park named “Prospect Park”. Park Central is named as it will be situated at the head of “Prospect Park” and will offer both park and river views across Prospect Park on the north of the building whilst the south side will provide stunning views of the city and dock. The name “Park Central” is a take on Central Park in New York, a city which Liverpool is twinned with and historically enjoyed a long love affair. It’s Liverpool’s greatest export to America, the Beatles, that a three -acres plot of land in Central Park, called Strawberry Fields, is dedicated to the memory of John Lennon, who lived opposite in the Dakota apartment building. It was said that Lennon picked the apartment because the view reminded him of looking out over the parks in his native Liverpool. The development will comprise of 129 apartments which will be a mix of 1 and 2 bed accommodation. The building will reflect its surroundings and mimic Liverpool’s industrious heritage, with the building’s exterior exuding a warehouse aesthetic to fit in with the areas ambience.
